びっくり／surprised

今日びっくりしたよ。

ITUNESのチャトを見てたら、るいかは１０さいぐらいのときに、にんきのアティスト「Jesse McCartney」はふっかつしたんだよ。チャトでは３ばん。

こんご、けっこうまたちからついてきたアティストふえたね。今考えつくのは Jesse McCartney, Backstreet Boys, Avril Lavgine, と Spice Girls　かな。

すごいよね。みんな、またもどってきてすっごくうれるから。じぶんのちからものすごくいるよね。えらい。

Translation:

I was so surprised today.

When I was looking at the ITUNES chart, I saw Jesse McCartney, the singer who was really big when I was around 10, rise up to the charts again. He was number 3.

Now there are a lot of artists that make a come back. On the top of my head, I know of Jesse McCartney, Backstreet Boys, Avril Lavgine, and Spice Girls.

I think that's so amazing. They come back and are able to sell so much of their music again. They really need a lot of strength to do that. Wow!

今日はすっごく楽しい日だったよ！

るいかはずっとほしかった、２こめのピアスをあけだの。

だいすき！ちょっといたかったけどView Blog、けっかを考えると、がまんできたよ。

明日学校行くの楽しみだな〜

あ、でも。今日むしばをなおしたよ。二つなおすよていだったけど、三つだた。

行くときはこわかったけど、思ったよりいたくなかった。

Translation:

I had such a great day today!!!

I finally got my second piercing that I've wanted since forever ago.

I love it! It hurt a little, but thinking about the outcome made it worth the pain. 

I'm excited to go to school tomorrow.

I'm going to put my hair up ;]

Oh, but I also fixed a cavity today. I went there thinking I was going to fix 2, but ended up fixing 3.

I was scared to go, but it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be.

ちょっとまえに学校のダンスショーをやって、そのうたは一つのダンスでつかったからみんなきにってるみたいだよ。

japanese concert video

今日は日本のアティストのコンサートビデオを見たよ。

そとのコンサートはとってもきれいでした。

曲のじゅんばんもちゃんと考えてあって、コンサートのはじまりでたいようはつよいときはテンションたかい曲、そしてゆうひのときはやさしい曲。

それは日本じゃないとできないことだな。

アメリカのコンサートはふつうよるおそいじかんに（８じぐらいから）はじまるから見えないものだよ。

でも、しょうじきにいえばちょっとあっつそうだった。ゆうがたとよるはすっごくきもちよさそうだったけどね。

Translation:

Today I saw a Japanese artist's concert video.

That concert was taken place outdoors.

The order of the songs were carefully planned out with the high tension songs in the beginning where the sun is shining bright, and the calm songs during the sunset.

That's something you can only experience in Japan.

The concerts here in America start at a later time (around 8 o'clock) so we don't get to see that.

But to tell you the truth, it seemed kind of hot. Yet the late afternoon and the nights seemed really nice.

I wish I can go sometime.

耳のちから／the power of ears

今日学校でふしぎなことをリカでならったよ。

耳は人をバランスするんだって。耳はなかったら、あるきもできないよ。

すごいね、耳。

ディスカバリチャンネルを見てたんだ。スティブンタイラーもでてたよ。

ばんぐみにきょうりょうくして、じぶんののどをカメラでうつして、どんなうごきかみせてくれてたよ。スティブンタイラーののどのうごきはふつうの人よりすごく早いらしいよ。

やっぱり４０年ちかくしごとをやってると、ふつうの人とちがうね。

Today in school, I learned something interesting in bio. 

Ears balance humans! If you didn't have ears, you couldn't even walk.

Ears are so important.

We were watching Discovery Channel. Steven Tyler was in it too.

He allowed them to put a camera in his throat (voice box) and see what kind of movements they made. The movements were so much more faster compared to a normal person. 

I guess it paid off to have a career for over 40 years.

みんな〜！今日はEarth Day だよ！

ちきゅうをまもって、みんなですみやすいばしょにしようね。

アメリカのスーパアではecoバッグをむりょでくばってたよ。

いいね。

一人一人のどりょうくはかさなるから、みんなでちっちゃなことでもがんばろうね。

るいかは今日学校のしゅくだいで３５ページをプリントしたけど、おもてとうらでプリントしたよ。

そんな小さなことでもいいからね。

みんな、何考えるかな？

もったいないってことばはエイゴにないけど、たいせつだね。

Hey everybody! Today is Earth Day!

Let's save the Earth and make it a place where it is comfortable to live in.

Here in America, people at certain grocery markets gave out free eco bags.

That's so good.

Everyone's effort pills up, so little things can make a big difference.

In school today, I had an assignment to print out 35 pages, but I used the front and back of one page to save trees.

Even a little thing like that is okay.

I wonder what everyone can come up with.

A word in Japan, "Motainai," is one we don't have here, but it is very important.

[It means: what a waste]

Music to Heart てゆう、organizationをつくりました。

おとがききにくい人といしょにコンサートを楽しむそんなせかいにしたいとおもう。

るいかは１４さいです。アメリカニもう１０年すんでるんたよ。

今こうこう１年だけど、日本では中学３ねんせいです。

日本ごははなせるけど、よんだりかいたりすることはあんまりできないよ。

ひらがなはじしんあるけど、かんじとカタガナはあんまりじしんないよ。

このブログをかきなから日本ごをもっとじゅうずになれるといいな。そしてみんなもエイゴのべんきょうになればいいな〜

このブログではアメリカのおんがくじょうほうをつたえたいね。

みんなはいけんちがうから、かんぺきじゃないけど、るいかの学校、友達、とテレビで見たことをおしえたいです。

Hey my name is Ruika.

I made an organization called Music to Heart. 

I want to make a world where people with hearing problems can enjoy concerts.

I am 14 years old. I've been living in America for over 10 years now. 

I'm in my first year of high school (freshman), but in Japan, I'm still in the 3rd year of middle school.

I am fluent in Japanese, but still shaky in reading and writing.

I can write in Hiragana but not so much in Katagana and Kanji.

I hope to progress in Japanese write writing this blog and wish for everyone to be able to understand a little English also. 

In this blog, I will share America's music info.

Everyone has different taste, so it might not be perfect but I will be writing what the majority of people say in my school, friends, and tv.
